Sha-Ri Pendelton came into Gladiator Arena in 1990, for the second-half season of season one. She debuted as gladiator Blaze, to much acclaim. Also (contrary to popular belief), she was not "Jade" from the first-half season. She came in as one of four new gladiators (Gold, Laser, and Titan were the others) ready for business. Blaze quickly showed her athletic prowess in many of the events.
At the peak of her career on AG, she was 5'7", weighing in at 140 pounds. Her best event was Powerball, with her efforts in Conquer coming in at a close second. Blaze was very aggressive, leading to big hits and powerful tackles on the floor. Unfortunately, that intensity also meant many disqualifications over the course of her 2 1/2 year career on American Gladiators. Many of those disqualifications resulted from elbows or tackles at or above head-level. Blaze also holds the Gladiator Arena-record for most all-time disqualifications.
Blaze refined her skills well into season three, but left after that third season. Rumor has it that Blaze left because she was dating a member from a rival show. In addition, another popular rumor is that Blaze was murdered sometime in the mid-1990's. Like many rumors, that one is not true. In fact, the deceased in question was season four grand champion Cheryl Wilson (Minelli).
