Barry Turner arrived on-screen as gladiator Cyclone during season four (1992-1993) of American Gladiators. The fierce Cyclone was 6'0" tall, and weighed in at 228 lbs. His first ever event was Atlasphere. This would quickly become his best event (due in part to his lower body strength). Cyclone was very quick for his size and low base. Many would say he draws comparisons to Thunder, of the previous season. Unfortunately, midway through season four, Barry suffered a severe bicep injury, signaling the end of his career at Gladiator Arena. Rumor has it that he drew the liking of producers, too (which made the loss more significant, and potentially paving the way for Hawk). Although Cyclone only spent a short time on American Gladiators, his presence will never be forgotten.
In addition, Cyclone was one of the last few to sport the long locks of hair, a true falling sign of the times.
