Lee Reherman was born on July 4, 1966 to the son of a dentist in Louisville, Kentucky, and lived the average life of a middle-class family. He is of Mormon religon and was an alter boy at church. Hawk managed to go to Cornell University and was a standout All-American offensive linemen, all while recieving his Bachelors Degree. Lee finished his MBA at Anderson (Indiana) University's UCLA Anderson Graduate School of management. He also managed to write a report on the state of affairs in California for former president Bill Clinton too.

After attending Cornell, Mr. Reherman was signed by the Miami Dolphins, the same team of former AG co-host Larry Csonka. He played one season for Miami. Hawk, a self-proclaimed 'kid's kid', went into acting next, playing Krause in Last Action Hero. After that, Lee was able to make the grade and become one of the 5 male gladiators for the American Gladiators' fifth season. Hawk was an instant favorite and stayed on the rest of the show's run, even appearing in International Gladiators I & II. During his run on AG, he dreamed of entering public service of to become a consultant for a major law firm. Lee used the money he earned on American Gladiators to finance his PhD.

After American Gladiators was over, Hawk still pursued an acting career, like playing a motorcycle cop on Hard Time in 1998, or when he played 'Big Ed' in Crossfire. In 2000, Lee hosted I Dare You: The Ultimate Challenge, followed by Cannonball Run 2001: Race Across America, one year later. Afterword, the Hawkster was a sideline host in the short-lived XFL, and even helped out in the 2001 Gator Bowl. Now, Mr. Reherman is hosting Arena on G4TV, along with Kevin Perriera and Stacie Barteleta.

On AG, the Hawkster was one of the most charasmatic gladiators ever to grace the stage. His wackiness and crazy antics quickly made him a fan favorite. In addition, his strong performances ensured his spot with the gladiators. His size was a blessing in many events (like Joust and Powerball). Even in aerial events, Lee became more adept as the seasons went on.
